Back to the Rendezvous Hotel, Skipton!
Wednesday 28th February 2024
28TH February 2024 saw our 23rd annual Garcia Reunion return to The Rendezvous canal-side hotel in Skipton. An energetic group took to the hills on a traditional afternoon walk, whilst others met in the lounge for coffee. 28 managed to attend the splendid overnight dinner and gathering which as usual ended only when Tom O’Hare decided to hit the sack sometime early next morning.
Whilst a number could not make this year for health reasons, it was good to welcome back some old faces again. A small selection of candid photos, from those who didn’t escape capture, is available below (click on the photo to enlarge), as is a list of those attending. Also below is a 3-minute video of some impromptu messages to Keith MacDonald-Moore filmed by Keith Stewart. The video was sent to Keith in Australia who sadly was unable to attend this year.
Following the overall success of this event, your committee ‘intend’ to return to the Rendezvous in February 2025, before hopefully returning to Blackpool in 2026 for our 25th reunion ‘Celebration’. Keep an eye on our website (and your emails) later this year for more details.
