Eighty past store managers and management gathered for Garcia’s 10th reunion.Several ‘first timers’ also came to enjoy a night of good food, good wine, nostalgia, and endless catch ups.Returning to the Imperial hotel in Blackpool, on a crisp sunny day in March, many started arriving at lunchtime.
Considering it was 4.30am next morning when some were still to be found in the hotel foyer, the retail bred stamina of many cannot be doubted!
Some habits it would seem do not diminish with the advancing years!!
Much gratitude was expressed to John Moores Jnr, whom along with others had sponsored the evening.
This generosity both guaranteed and ensured a splendid occasion, remembering all that The Littlewoods Organisation gave to so many people over the years.
Many current companies express awe and amazement at the camaraderie and memory the company instilled, which Garcia continues….Here’s to the next one!
