What an amazing little find this was. Our thanks go to John Piercy and John Farrell who supped their way around many venues in the Yorkshire hills to find this gem.
The idea to “takeover” all its bedrooms and then simply offer them on a “first come first served basis,” with no chasing Garcia members, although restricting overall numbers attending, worked very well for an interim event. All 19 rooms were filled, with 3 “late ladies” booking into another hotel a few miles away.
The food was excellent, certainly a contender for best yet, and the Yorkshire pub atmosphere permeated both the afternoon drinks and the excellent leisurely breakfast next morning.
There was a very positive feeling that this would not be our last visit to this venue!
